Kisah Kad Kahwin

Salam...

Kad kahwin ni... daripada mula sampai habis, dah jadi macam drama bersiri yang susah nak difilemkan. Kalau ada sesiapa yang baca blog saya ni, anda mungkin tahu alkisah kad kawin yang tak ditempah - tempah sampaila saat akhir. Huuu~

It's my own fault to begin with, dah tahu nak design sendiri, lambat pulak nak finalise everything and cari printing company. Agak lama la jugak I put it off, but seperti dalam entry ni, akhirnya saya dah tempah pun kad pada 22 September 2010.

The printing company, Merchantile Press, telah pun terima design saya, bagi harga yang agak murah untuk 1000 keping kad, dan paling penting skali, menjanjikan kad akan siap dalam masa 7 hari bekerja. Which means, today, 1st October, will be the fateful day to pick up the cards.

So nak dijadikan cerita, just before lunch time saya pun call la the company, asking dah siap ke kad saya... Diorang bagitau pukul 5 baru siap, so I said okay... after work I'll go and pick it up. Tetiba satu drama tak berskrip telah dilakonkan.

Printing company (PC): I lupa nak bagitau u, envelope sebenarnya kena bayar, so it'll be, RM65.
Cik Atun: (terkejut beruk) Eh? Haritu u kata it's free...
PC: Oh, ye ke? U still ada bill yang I bagi haritu. Ada tak I tulis envelope free?
Cik Atun: Takde tulis dalam bil, but memang masa I tanya sampul ada bagi tak, u kata ada.
PC: Oh... ok. Sampul jenis macam mana ek?
Cik Atun: Sampul putih biasa je. Takde printed or warna warni...
PC: Tunggu sekejap ye.... (so I waited. Gile berdebar-debar okay?) Okla miss. Sebenarnya sepatutnya kena bayar, but since I dah bagitau mcm tu kat u dulu, so that's free lah. Tapi sebenarnya memang kena bayar.
Cik Atun: O..kay....(bewildered and relieved at the same time)
PC: So pukul 5 la datang ek?
Cik Atun: Ok. Thank you.

Kesimpulannya untuk B2B sekalian, sila la suruh PC anda catitkan apa yang dia nak bagi free ke apa ke dalam bil... kalau tak nantikan susah. Saya ni kira bernasib baik je.

Seketika kemudian, satu kejadian telah berlaku di ofis (dan saya enggan menceritakan perkara itu disini. Buat sakit hati je.. XD) Jadi untuk melupakan duka lara, masa lunch hour saya pun berjola joli ngan cik Pinas kat umah die. Bestnye makan nasik beriani sedap, main dengan kucing Pinas yang manja and muka seposen. Habis berjoli kami pulang ke ofis.... dan sempat melantak donashi yang dibawa oleh Husna.

Nak dijadikan cerita, around 4 o'clock the PC called. I was like, sapa ni? (Boleh saya tak save PC nye number dalam my mobile. XD ) Bila saya angkat, sahla PC yang call and die kata bleh tak datang pick up kul 6. Tak sempat siap. Takde pilihan lain, I agreed. Biarla lambat pick up pun, asal siap hari ni gak.

Around 6 saya pun pegi kedai tu, which surprisingly was full with their clients. Saya pun bagitau saya datang nak amik kad, mintak dia bukak utk tgk sekeping. Kad die nampak ok, so I felt quite puas hati with the colour and everything, saya bayar baki duit and sped off from there.


Sesampainya dirumah, saya angkut masuk 500 keping kad sahaja sebab berat... dan dalam seronok - seronok nak mula tulis nama, I found out that the finishing of the cards were not done properly. The laminating were not laid properly, resulting some ugly streaks on the card. Mengeluh sekejap. Kemudian pasrah saja. Terima seadanya. Ujian Allah.

Sudah tak kisah, because it's minor although noticeable. Sebab saya je yang tahu, how my nights before were haunted with dreams whereby my cards were not printed properly la, salah orientation la.... Memang resah betul masa nak drive and go pick up the cards. Maybe they were not perfect as I would really wanted, but overall, I can still live with it. As long as the wordings were correct.... everything will be fine.

So untuk Merchantile Press ni, saya bagi 5 out of 10 point. PR dia memang bagus. Staff memang helpful and very friendly. Maybe they tend to answer the phone using Tamil, but I find it adorable though. ^^ The colour of the card was perfect. It was almost identical to what I had designed in Photoshop. The price was reasonable too.

The only downside, laminating process were not done properly. Albeit minor, it does affected the overall appearance of the cards, ditambah dengan folding line yang membuatkan kad pecah on the right handside membuatkan saya rasa a bit kesal. Mungkinkah kerana design sendiri? Atau memang sebegini kualiti kad di kedai itu, saya tidak pasti. Yang pasti, saya pun tak tahu nak recommend kedai ini pun tidak. Huhu~

Tapi yelah... macam saya kata awal tadi, pasrah ajelah. Nak wat cemana. Sudah nasib badan....

Salam, akak..hehe, ske bace belog akak ni, sbb jarang gak jumpe belog org perak yang tulis detail pasal persiapan perkahwinan..sbbnye, saye pon org ipoh juge..at least belog akak ni boleh sy jdikan reference..btw,nak tnye mne nak dapat checklist persiapan perkahwinan yg leh tick2 tu..akak buat sendiri ke?

  2. ohoho... akak tak perasan langsung anda punye komen nii... sorila ye masha.. bukan takmo jawab. T__T terlepas pandang.

    checklist persiapan kawin tu akak wat sendiri guna OneNote. kalau nak bagila alamat email, nnt akak forwardkan. takdela gempak sangat pun, just sebagai rujukan.
